The new MGS9 PHEV is the first 7-seat, large SUV from MG and offers a spacious and versatile interior with three rows of seats. When the third-row seats are folded away to use the car with five seats, there is a generous 1026-litres of bootspace.
Its multi award-winning plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre petrol turbo engine and a long-range 24.7kWh battery with an electric-only range of up to 62 miles*.
There is a choice of two trim levels, Comfort and Premium, each providing an extensive list of luxury features as standard, such as 20-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, heated seats, a panoramic roof and 12.3” infotainment and 12.3” driver display, with on-the-road prices from £34,205 and £36,945 respectively.

The MGS9 PHEV is available to order now with the first cars arriving in our showroom late March and is supported by a 7-year/80,000 miles warranty, as well as MG Assistance.

Versatility
The MGS9 PHEV has an abundance of head, leg and shoulder room inside its 4.98m long, 1.96m wide and 1.78m high bodyshell, making it perfect for families wanting to take extra people, luggage or dogs, or for business owners needing the flexibility to carry passengers or large items.
When not using the third row of seats, the MGS9 PHEV has a versatile boot space of 1026-litres to give plenty of space for everyone’s day-to-day needs or for holidays and road trips.
To make the interior as flexible as possible, the third row of seats can be folded individually, while the second row has a 60:40 split.
Range and efficiency
To provide a smooth power delivery and driving experience, the MGS9 PHEV uses a similar plug-in hybrid powertrain as the multi-award-winning MG HS PHEV. This combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery offering an electric-only range of up to 62 miles* - more than enough for most daily commutes or family duties.
A large petrol tank (65 litres) means that all journeys in the MGS9 PHEV, however long, can be completed without any anxiety about range.
This powerful engine also has low CO2 emissions of just 18g/km, making it an excellent choice for company car drivers, and a maximum towing limit (braked) of 2000kg for those needing a big car to pull a boat, trailer, horsebox or caravan.
Luxury as standard
Providing a choice of two trim levels - Comfort and Premium – the MGS9 PHEV delivers the standards of luxury large SUV buyers expect.
The modern and stylish dashboard features a striking 12.3” infotainment screen and another 12.3” display for the driver, plus a leather-style multifunction steering wheel. The screens are complemented by physical buttons for quick access to key controls, such as air conditioning.
All models feature 20-inch alloy wheels, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, Tri-zone climate control to make the interior a comfortable, desirable and bright place to be. An electric tailgate, 360o reversing camera, and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability add further touches of convenience.
Comfort models have cloth upholstery with 8-way electric driver seat and 6-way electric passenger seat (both heated), while Premium models gain leather-style upholstery with ventilated and massaging front seats plus 4-way lumbar support for the driver, front fog lights, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a smart tailgate, wireless mobile phone charging and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
Safety
The safety credentials of the MGS9 PHEV are also impressive with crash tests achieving the top level 5-star rating from Euro NCAP, thanks in part to its extensive use of high-strength steel.
There are also up to 16 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) constantly monitoring the road ahead to help protect the vehicle and its occupants.
